Local farmers’ markets

During the summer, farmers’ markets – sometimes held at night – gastronomic fairs and “guinguettes” by the lake or estuary invite you to discover our specialities near the Hourtin Lac campsite. The estuary’s small ports, close to the aquaculture farms where gambas are raised, and the many festivals where the region’s specialities can be discovered and enjoyed without moderation, all season long!

Lots of local produce for your dining pleasure!

Entrecôte à la bordelaise grilled on vine shoots, lamprey, the grenier médocain in April, the “printemps des châteaux” or the “week-end des grands amateurs”, the “fête de l’agneau” in pauillac in April or the “quai des vins” event in verdon in May.
In autumn, the “fêtes des vendanges” or the “foire de sainte croix”, and just before winter, “margaux saveurs” and the picking of ceps, chanterelles …! no delicious meal without desserts! Noisettines, sarments du Médoc, cannelés and other specialties will delight you.
